WHEN it comes to love....ha... as if that's going to be the theme of my blog! ...rewind (*insert old fashioned tape noise here) LET'S GET...physical, classical, theatrical....geographical! "Here's to the freakin weekend!" as Rihanna would say and yes it may be Friday, but it's not time to throw your pen down just yet. You've still got about seven hours left! (if you're working until 5pm... not working today?...then why are you up! ) If you are really struggling to resist checking Facebook right about now, then exchange the habit with another. A LOT has happened since my last post (August)…and in the last post I vowed it to mark the end of a four-month hiatus. Regretfully, it wasn't. Not a single post followed, apart from a post with no content which I must have published accidentally. Surprisingly...I didn't get any backlash for not posting for a good five months...not even from my mum. But even despite that, I'm going to pretend that the world is a better place with my blogging and start again. And what better time to begin than January 1, 2014. I'm getting philosophical about the year ahead and will state my resolutions. The beginning of a year is when almost everyone vows to give up one thing or another or improve their lifestyles. The most common resolutions involve giving up cigarettes, alcohol, chocolate and taking up healthy habits such as exercise. I don't get to attend castings very often, so when I do I like to make an impression. Usually this "impression" means me trying to insinuate that I'm an actor that is easy to work with, punctual, and talented. Last week when I got a text from my agent, "....casting at 5.30pm, wear beach attire" I thought, this is my chance! I was stumped at the beach attire instruction. For one, it was a pretty damn cold afternoon, and secondly, I only had two pairs of togs - a hideous cheap pair purchased hastily a while back on the way to a pool party, and the second purchased when I was hungover on a Byron trip. I chose the cheap first pair knowing aesthetics wouldn't matter as I was wearing a bright pink singlet over the top which would only hint I was wearing a bikini. Parking my car I had a thought that I really should have tanned myself to fool the casting director into thinking I was actually outdoorsy. No filming budget could allow the amount of sunscr...
